What age groups do you offer classes for?
We offer classes for dancers of all ages, starting from 2 years old up to 18 years old. We also have specialized programs for various levels, including recreational and competitive dancers.
What types of dance styles do you teach?
Our studio offers a wide variety of dance styles, including ballet, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, tap, lyrical, and more. We also provide specialized training for dancers who want to pursue professional opportunities in the industry as well as dance team training.
How do I know which class is right for my child?
Our team of experienced instructors will assess your child's skill level and recommend the best class for them. We offer beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes to ensure that each dancer is challenged appropriately while building their confidence and abilities.
What is the commitment level for classes and competitions?
We offer programs with varying levels of commitment, from recreational classes to more intensive competitive programs. For competitive dancers, there is a greater time commitment for rehearsals, performances, and competitions. We will always clearly outline the time commitments before enrollment, so you can choose the program that best fits your family's schedule.
Are there any performance opportunities?
Yes! Our competitive dancers have the opportunity to perform at local showcases, competitions, and events throughout the year. Recreational dancers will also have the opportunity to perform in our spring recital.
Do you offer private lessons?
Yes, we offer private lessons for dancers who are looking for more individualized attention or to work on specific skills. Private lessons can be a great way to accelerate progress or focus on particular goals.
What should my child wear to class?
We recommend that dancers wear comfortable, form-fitting clothing (such as a leotard & tights for Ballet, leggings, short or t-shirt/tank top) and appropriate footwear for each style of dance. Ballet requires pink ballet shoes, jazz we prefer tan jazz shoes, black tap shoes, pirouettes for turns & various other classes and hip-hop sneakers.
How can I track my child’s progress?
We believe in open communication between parents, students, and instructors. A progress update can be provided upon request, and we encourage feedback to ensure your child’s goals are being met. Additionally, dancers will showcase their progress in the spring recital.
What is the registration process?
To register, simply visit our website and create an account with us by clicking "Parent Portal Log In" in the menu bar above. After creating your account, we’ll confirm the class placement and provide additional details about the start of the season. For competitive programs, an audition is required each year before final placement.
Do you offer discounts or payment plans?
Yes, we offer family discounts to help make classes more affordable. Please ask about any available discounts when you contact us.
What if my child has no prior dance experience?
That’s no problem! We offer beginner classes where dancers can learn the fundamentals of dance in a supportive and fun environment. Our instructors will work with each student to ensure they feel comfortable and are progressing at their own pace.
